Budgeting Your Money
A budget is the amount of money you allocate for spending within a given period of time – a week, a month, a semester, or a year. Your budget anticipates income and expenses as realistically as possible. These days, tuition assistance opportunities are shrinking for many students. Financial support from families is not as reliable, so talk to them about who pays for what. Job-shortages are spreading in many sectors of the workforce. Lenders are more reluctant to give or extend loans. And while a college degree is a predictor of employment advantages, it is not a guarantee that you’ll get one right after graduation.
So given the current economic climate, knowing how to set up a budget is more crucial than ever. What should you identify in your budget?
