Babies – you have to love them. When you were a baby, you were adorable – and very high maintenance! Your arrival on this planet was life-changing for your parents, whether you were planned or not. So if you plan on having a family, the key word is plan.
Whether a pregnancy is intended or not, at least half of college-age women who get pregnant leave school permanently. The negative consequences can be both economic and social, leading to limited career and job market opportunities and lower income, as well as potential difficulties in personal relationships.
So if you and your partner aren’t ready to take on the responsibilities of parenthood while you’re in school, use contraceptive precautions.
