Affordability – Your Financial Comfort Zone
Contrary to what you might assume, unless you’re bent on applying to private ivy-league institutions, don’t let tuition stop you from considering a school. Sure, “sticker shock” applies as much to education these days as it does to energy costs, but affordable options are out there. If you’re in high school, talk to your guidance counselor. Attend any financial aid workshops offered in school or your community. Needs and merit-based scholarships are out there, and every college student must apply for federal financial aid, whether they take it or not. Check CLD’s Financial section for more details on this crucial topic.
