Getting Started & Getting Involved
Some people are born to run – or swing or run like the wind. Others find their athletic abilities emerging later in life. If you want to get involved in college athletics, check out the school’s reputation – although you probably did when you shopped for a college. If you’re still looking for the right school, visit the athletic department and talk to the director, and if possible, the coach. If you’ve already started college, start talking to the athletes on campus.
Attend varsity and intramural games. Check out the track and field competitions. View the sports-related pages on the college website for team news, scores, and contact info. Investigate student organizations and join a sports or fitness-related club. And explore the fitness center!
