Students living on campus tend to do better academically, completing more courses each semester and earning stronger grades. They make stronger and more long-lasting social connections. There are a number of reasons. First, if you’ll live much closer to where the action is – classrooms, library, and academic facilities. Second, you’re more likely to get involved. You’ll have easier access to campus events and facilities, such the fitness center and dining halls. - Application deadlines and fees
- The kinds of rooms and suites available
- Floor plans
- Residence hall services and amenities, such as laundry facilities, common lounges, TVs, Internet access, and food services
- Room furnishings, such as lockers, desks, and beds
- What you should bring, such as mini-fridges or micro-fridges, bedding, and lighting
- What you shouldn’t bring or keep in your room, such as pets, weapons, alcohol
- Safety guidelines and fire regulations
- What you may or may not put on the walls
