Major Decisions – Matching Up
A big part of your decision will be based on what degree you might want and what academic programs are offered by various colleges. This is not to say that you can’t enter as undeclared or undecided, but if a school offers degrees or programs that you might consider leaning towards, your transition can be a lot easier.
To find your match, think about possible careers that may appeal to your interests, talents, and skills. If people say you have a good eye, look at schools with an emphasis on art and design. If you’ve been entrepreneurial since you were nine – when you made and sold 100 lanyards! – a degree in accounting or business may be your ticket. And if you’re still wondering why the sky is blue, search for schools with a strong scientific bent.
